National Pet Week
When: Wednesday, May 4 to Tuesday, May 10,
Where: Pets have profound affects on the lives of their human owners. They provide us with love, endless hours of companionship, and wonderful relationships that help fill our our lives. National Pet Week is a celebration of those relationships. The Auxiliary to the AVMA is a non-profit organization of family, veterinarians, associates, and friends of the veterinary profession whose purpose is to promote the science and art of veterinary medicine through communication, education, and support of those associated with the profession. Be Kind to Animals Week
When: Wednesday, May 4 to Tuesday, May 10,
Where: The American Humane Association created Be Kind to Animals Week in 1915 to celebrate the unique bond between humans and animals. Every year, animal shelters throughout the country hold special events during this special week to raise awareness about Being Kind to Animals, and to teach people about the amazing role animals play in our lives. Be Kind to Animals Week is a great time to promote our nation’s animal welfare organizations and to encourage everyone to get involved to make a difference for animals.
