Young-Williams Animal Center is celebrating “Black Friday” with an adoption special to help shelter pets find their forever homes for the holidays.

On Friday, Nov. 25, adoption fees for dogs and cats older than 6 months will be reduced to only $25 each. The special adoption prices will be available from noon until 6 p.m. at Young-Williams Animal Center at 3201 Division St., off Sutherland Drive, and the Young-Williams Animal Village at 6400 Kingston Pike on Bearden Hill.

“We want to make sure that homeless animals are not overlooked on the busiest shopping day of the year,” said Janet Testerman, CEO of Young-Williams Animal Center. “With our Black Friday special, we want to remind our community that there are many animals in need of a happy healthy home, so remember to adopt and not shop for your new four-legged family member.”

Every adopted animal will receive the services covered by the regular fees, which include a veterinary physical exam, spay/neuter surgery, some standard vaccinations, microchip with registration and more. The special $25 adoption fee will be available on Friday only; puppies and kittens ages 5 months and younger are not included.
