Waggin’ Wednesday: Spit

Hello! My name is Spit, and I’m here to tell you my rescue story. My humans adopted me from Young-Williams Animal Center in 2010. They had gone through some sad times and were looking to bring a little bit of love into their home. However, they got a lot more than just love when they brought me home! In their words, they didn’t know how much love, chaos, hair, and all-around happiness I would bring along with me.

Since adopting me, my parents learned that I love to travel! I’ve been all over the US-of-A with them, along with my older feline brother, Spenser. I like adventure more than he does though, including hiking, kayaking and learning all about the history of our country. I don’t care for whitewater rafting too much, and I absolutely hate going to the vet’s office (I can be a little naughty when the vet is involved).

Cats like me come in all shapes, sizes and personalities every single day at Young-Williams Animal Center. You never know what you might get when you adopt a furry friend! My parents never dreamed to find such a unique kitty like me, but they wouldn’t trade the adventures and good times we’ve spent together for anything else in the world.

You can adopt your own adventure buddy at Young-Williams Animal Center’s adoption locations in Knoxville, TN, every day from 10am to 6pm (they close from 1-2pm for animal quiet time and staff lunches). Cats who are over the age of three (like me!) are FREE to a loving home.

This is my mom. She’s the best and calls me Wonder Cat and always has a fresh water bottle and treats in our kayak just for me.

I mentioned that I love history! Here’s a cool tank I found at Veterans Memorial Park in Georgia!

I visited the 49ers California Trail in Idaho, and the nice rangers there let me climb into the wagon. I’m ready for my ‘Little House on the Prairie’ cameo!

This is my favorite spot to watch Jeopardy with Spenser.

Ice cream is my one, true love. Don’t judge.
