Young-Williams Animal Center is  celebrating National Shelter Appreciation Week November 6-12!

In 1996, the HSUS launched National Shelter Appreciation Week, based on an idea from Capital Humane Society in Nebraska. This campaign is designed to acknowledge and promote the invaluable role shelters pay to their communities and to increase public awareness of animal welfare issues and shelter services.

Please join us in thanking our staff for their hard work and dedication to this critical mission!

Some suggestions that go a long way:

• a simple thank you in person or letter form!
• baked goods! (we love food!)
• recognition of their commitment to their supervisor!
• volunteering time to help out!
