Subaru Loves Pets Oct 2022

KNOXVILLE, Tennessee – According to the ASPCA®, each year approximately 6.3 million companion animals enter shelters. That’s why this October. Young-Williams Animal Center is proud to partner with Subaru to as it amplifies its commitment to helping shelter pets find homes through the Subaru Loves Pets month and Make a Dog’s Day on October 22, 2022.

A core principle of the Subaru Loves Pets initiative is a commitment to help all pets find their perfect, loving home. All month long Subaru, along with its retailers, are supporting more than 600 animal shelters across the country by donating $100 for every adult dog or cat adopted*. It’s all part of the company’s long-standing commitment to help shelter dogs – especially those with special needs like the older, deaf, blind, and “different” dogs which they lovingly call the “Underdogs.” You can check out adoptable cats and dogs at Young-Williams Animal Center by clicking here.

Then, for the fourth year in a row, Subaru will also celebrate its National Make A Dog’s Day on October 22. This is a day where Subaru encourages all dog lovers to do something extra special for their dogs and to invite the nation to consider adopting, especially an Underdog. This day, combined with Subaru Loves Pets Month, has helped many pets find loving homes – including thousands of incredible Underdogs.

Since 2008, Subaru and our retailers are proud to have donated over $42 million to national and local organizations, which has helped in the adoption, rescue, transport, and health care of nearly 350,000 animals and pets.
