Is there a waiting list for spay/neuter surgeries? NO!

How can I get on the waiting list?IMG_1583

We get this question a lot! There IS no waiting list! In fact, if you call our program at (865)215-6677, Monday thru Friday between 9:00 am and 4:30 pm, you can probably an appointment in that same call (unless we are already tied up helping other customers!). Most of the time, your appointment can be that same week even! If you leave us a voice mail, we make every attempt to call you back either that day or the following business day. We also have a system that allows you to submit a request for an appointment online here:  http://www.young-williams.org/spay-neuter-your-pet/spay-neuter-appointment/

Where did the “waiting list” come from? Back when the Spay Shuttle first launched, its popularity was so huge that our staff was unable to keep up with the demand for services. So early on, we recruited an answering service and started what became known in the community as the “Waiting List” so that we wouldn’t miss anyone. Problem was, it grew and grew—and calling people back sometimes took up to 6 months. That is, if phone numbers hadn’t changed and so forth. Our services were so much in demand that we eventually had to build our clinic in Bearden at the Young-Williams Animal Village to keep up with it—and with the opening of that facility, we then did away with the waiting list. Our goal then, as now, was to serve you, our customers, better. This way, we are able to help more people into an appointment faster and provide better service for the community. When you call, please let us know what days of the week work best for you, and we’ll work hard to get your pet scheduled ASAP.
