Impact Happens Everyday in Many Ways

One of my favorite quotes is by Margaret Mead, “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” In my role at Young-Williams Animal Center, I experience just how thoughtful and committed our community truly is and we know, together we’ll make positive impacts on animal welfare.

There are hundreds of local businesses and organizations that support our mission though sponsorship, fundraisers, adoption events, grants, and raising awareness. They are the destinations for our doggy day trips and the behind the scenes support that makes magic happen.

We rely on these partners to help raise awareness for our mission and provide the critical funds needed to support it. Today, we want to thank each and every one of our partners for their support over the years. You are changing the world for one pet at a time.

While we can’t list every partner who has gone above and beyond for us, we do want to highlight a few recent supporters.

We are especially thankful for all the pets in our community who support us, including Roux, the resident treat tester at River Dog Bakery, and his friend Tess. Did you know, when you purchase a bag of food to donate from River Dog Roux is matching a bag?

We can’t wait to be back at our partners for adoption events! Agrifeed Supply Store loves to feature out pets for adoption in their store. As great friends often do they frequently introduce us to new partners and host fundraisers so we can further our mission.

On your next trip to the shelter why not check out Gus’s Fried Chicken just down the road? This pet friendly patio is always a hot spot for our Doggy Day Trips. Even during these uncertain times, they are making sure no pet goes hungry and donated chicken flavored dog food, which they purchased from River Dog Bakery to help both our local pups and businesses.

Each month, Bond Law Firm sponsors one of our longest-term residents to help them find a home. You can find these sponsored posts on our social media. Will a Bond Law Featured Pet be your next companion?

Mortgage Investors Group had so much fun sponsoring Mardi Growl this year they decided to sponsor our 3rd annual Pet Calendar Contest and a very special quiz testing your knowledge about adopting shelter pets.  Have you entered your pet to be a feature in our calendar yet?

Speaking of Mardi Growl, shout out to our amazing presenting sponsor, Merchants of Beer. For several years, MoB has been a major supporter of our mission and their dog friendly patio is the perfect place to grab a pint with your pup. We can’t imagine Mardi Growl without MoB!

We’d be amiss if we didn’t thank our friends at Radio Systems Corporation and Pet Safe who help pets everywhere, including Young-Williams Animal Center. As a proud annual sponsor of Mardi Growl their booth is our biggest attraction, right behind the parade of course.

Many of our programs are solely supported through grants from foundations.  Without these important partners, we would not be able to offer all the services we do. As we continue to expand our innovative programs, these foundation’s are there to support us with initial investments. They are the reason we are able to offer a wide variety of community resources and expanded adoption services.

If you haven’t already checked out the Duo Gooders, be sure to follow them on social media today! Allyson Spellman and her daughter Shayler are always happy to help when we call. You never know when we will show up on their blog as they help shine the light on special topics all for the love of animals.

There are countless other businesses who support us throughout the year but if we listed them all this post would never end. Thank you all for supporting the mission of Young-Williams Animal Center. It is because of your generosity that we are able to continue our life saving work and provide much needed resources to our community.
