Adopt A Senior Pet Month

tippie-a337116783Senior pets are super—that’s why we’re thrilled that November is Adopt a Senior Pet Month! If you’re thinking of adding a furry friend to your family, please consider opening your heart and home to an older cat or dog in need. Young-Williams has hundreds of pets available for adoption each week, 545 senior cats and dogs were surrendered in 2015 alone.

Most pets brought into YWAC are surrendered by their owners after years of living in a home.  You can give pets a second chance.

When you adopt a senior pet, you’re not only welcoming a lifetime of love into your home, you’re also saving a life.Adopting an older animal companion comes with some cool perks!  YWAC took in 1,015 seniors in 2015 alone.

Grown-up pets don’t require the constant monitoring that puppies and kittens do, and many are already housetrained. Since senior pets are fully grown, you’ll know right away important information like personality type and grooming requirements, making it easier to choose the right pet for your family.

If you’re wanting to add to your family, please stop by either of our locations to adopt! We have two locations: 6400 Kingston Pike, and 3201 Division Street.
