A YWAC Best Friends Story
For those who have experienced the contentment of adopting a shelter animal, you know that a furry best friend can be found when you least expect it. Sometimes all it takes is just one chance meeting with the perfect pet and you know that the pet . Carmella and family experienced just that. While they were on a vacation in Tennessee during the summer of July 2012, they stumbled upon Young-Williams Animal Center. Carmella and her family found that, “When [they] walked in the door [they] were amazed at the friendliness of everyone there.” While perusing the shelter, Carmella exclaims that they “fell in love.” She recalls that a puppy named Donald (now Tucker) had an infectious sense of enthusiasm and caught her eye. The family became completely smitten with the warmhearted puppy when they noticed how he affectionately nibbled on their son’s earlobes. Carmella asks, “How can you pass up on that kind of love?” Taking a chance, the family adopted Tucker and made an eight hour journey back from their vacation. They soon found out just how perfect of a match Tucker is for their family. Carmella says “He fits in with the family well and showers us with his joy every chance he gets. He loves to go to baseball practice, and the dog park.” If you, like Carmella and her family, would like to find your new furry best friend stop by and see us at Young-Williams Animal shelter, or check out our website at www.young-williams.org
