SUMMARY:2023 Pet Calendar Contest
DESCRIPTION:We are no longer accepting pre-orders for the 2023 Young-Williams Animal Center Pet Calendar. \nPlease keep an eye on social media for when calendars will be available for purchase in the lobby of our Division Street location. \n\nThe Young-Williams Animal Center calendar contest helps provide care for the nearly 10\,000 homeless\, stray\, and unwanted pets we take in every year. The official Young-Williams Animal Center 2023 Wall Calendar is sponsored by Mortgage Investors Group. \n All proceeds support the mission of Young-Williams Animal Center to lead the community to end pet homelessness\, promote animal welfare\, and enhance the human-animal bond. \nFundraisers like our 2023 Pet Calendar Contest are so important to our mission and helps animals in our care right now. Animals like Coda the puppy. Coda was rushed to UT Vet Hospital after being attacked by a wild animal and was stabilized before being transferred to Young-Williams for care. His small front leg was broken in multiple places but the injury didn’t stop him from snuggling up to our vet staff. At such a young age\, we knew amputation was not only the best medical path\, but that he would easily learn how to walk on three legs. Thanks to the Animal Compassion Fund\, he got the emergency vet care he needed and is now in a new home dedicated to keeping him safe and loved. Your entries and votes help provide for Coda and hundreds of pets just like him. \n\nSPONSORED BY

SUMMARY:BISSELL Pet Foundation Announces Fall "Empty the Shelters" event
DESCRIPTION:KNOXVILLE\, Tenn. – BISSELL Pet Foundation is doing its part to take homeless pets from kennels to couches by sponsoring reduced adoption fees of $50 or less from Oct 1 – 8. The longest-ever Summer National “Empty the Shelters” event will be hosted in more than 280 shelters in 42 states\, including Young-Williams Animal Center. \n“It has been a challenging year for our nation’s animal shelters. The devastating increase in owner surrenders has left thousands of socialized\, house-trained and leash-trained pets desperate to find a home\,” said Cathy Bissell\, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. “Our fall’ Empty the Shelters’ will support the adoption of thousands of pets across the country\, helping shelters in this critical time. Opening your home to a shelter pet saves a life and creates space to give another pet a chance.” \nBISSELL Pet Foundation’s “Empty the Shelters” event is the largest funded adoption event in the country. With a goal of encouraging more families to choose adoption\, this lifesaving effort has helped nearly 118\,000 pets find loving homes since 2016. “Empty the Shelters” is BISSELL Pet Foundation’s largest program\, partnering with a total of 541 animal welfare organizations in 47 states and Canada to reduce adoption fees. \nAdoption is a lifetime commitment. BISSELL Pet Foundation and YOUR ORG NAME urge families to do their research about the pet they are interested in adopting\, as well as adoption requirements. For more information on adopting or donating to “Empty the Shelters\,” visit www.bissellpetfoundation.org/empty-the-shelters. \nAbout BISSELL Pet Foundation: \nBISSELL Pet Foundation is a charitable 501©(3) nonprofit organization with a mission to help reduce the number of animals in shelters through pet adoption\, spay/neuter programs\, vaccinations\, microchipping and emergency support. Founded in 2011 by Cathy Bissell\, BPF is an extension of her long-standing love for animals and commitment to their welfare. BPF has since partnered with more than 5\,600 shelters and rescues across the U.S. and Canada to help pets find loving homes. The foundation is supported by generous donors and BISSELL Inc. where every purchase saves pets. To learn more\, visit www.bissellpetfoundation.org.
