DESCRIPTION:  \nUpdate from our CEO Janet Testerman:  \nIt is with great disappointment I inform you that due to the forecast of rain\, wind and thunderstorms\, we must postpone our Cause for Paws event this evening to ensure the safety of our guests\, pets\, staff and vendors. This was a difficult decision\, and we explored all other scenarios before determining not to continue with the event tonight. We will reach out again as soon as we select a new date. Our staff and volunteers have worked extremely hard to prepare for an exciting night of saving lives\, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you in the near future. Registration is $15 per pet and we’ll have seven fun categories to compete in. To keep our participants\, instructors and volunteers safe we are taking additional health purr-cautions and masks are encouraged and you’re welcome to bring your own mat or use one of the studios.  Our Event space will be sanitized between sessions and we are limiting the class size to 20 participants to ensure enough space in the studio to socially distance. \nTickets are $25 and 100% of proceeds benefit the pets at Young-Williams Animal Center. Learn more about how your registration fee helps our kittens at www.young-williams.org/kittens \n\n \nMeet Mary June Thompson\, RYT 500\n \nMary June is a dedicated long-time practitioner who believes in the ability of yoga to align body\, mind\, and spirit; relieve stress; and improve overall health and quality of life at any age. She loves teaching yoga to help others receive these benefits. Mary June has completed both 200-hour and 300-hour Advanced yoga trainings\, as well as additional certifications in multiple yoga disciplines. Off the mat\, she is also a chef\, herbalist\, avid gardener\, and holistic health expert who enjoys spending time with her husband and fur babies and soaking up the sun on a beach whenever possible. \nMary June currently leads Mindful Noon Flow classes at Breezeway:\nMindful Noon Flow – Noon on Monday and Wednesday — This class uses the linkage of movement with breath to create a mindful full body yoga experience. Each class centers on a specific theme to help practitioners find that mind-body connection and cultivate focus during the practice. Examples of themes explored in class include more mentally challenging practices\, such as balance; to more physical practices such as working with poses for maintaining a healthy back or building upper body strength; to energetics\, such as working with chakras. There is lots of variety in this class and something for everyone as we focus on cultivating and maintaining the health of our minds\, bodies\, and spirits. These events replicate the Beard House dinners along with helping to raise awareness about James Beard and the work of the James Beard Foundation.
