SUMMARY:Bissell Pet Foundation "Empty the Shelters" Adoption Event
DESCRIPTION:Empty the Shelters this May!\n$25 adoption fees for all adult Cats and dogs \n(6 months or older)\nMay 2 -15\nFind your new best friend!\nClick here to see adoptable animals!\nBISSELL Pet Foundation Sponsor Reduced Adoption Fees Across the Country \nYoung-Williams Animal Center part of 275+ shelters participating in the spring “Empty the Shelters” event \nAs shelters across the country face overcrowding\, BISSELL Pet Foundation is aiming to “Empty the Shelters” by sponsoring reduced adoption fees of $25 from May 2-15. This event will be hosted in more than 275 shelters in 40 states\, including at Young-Williams Animal Center! \n“Empty the Shelters\,” BISSELL Pet Foundation’s largest program\, began in 2016 as an effort to encourage more families to adopt a pet into their home. More than 83\,000 pets have found adoptive homes through this reduced-fee adoption event. Since its inception\, this lifesaving event has expanded to organizations in 45 states and Canada\, partnering with a total of 443 animal welfare organizations. \n“Shelters across the country are over capacity\, and highly adoptable pets are at risk as we face one of the largest crises in recent years\,” said Cathy Bissell\, Founder of BISSELL Pet Foundation. “BISSELL Pet Foundation is calling on people to visit their community shelters during ‘Empty the Shelters’ to save a life through adoption. Without you\, there is no tomorrow for these deserving pets.” \nBISSELL Pet Foundation and Young-Williams Animal Center urge families to do their research about the pet they are interested in adopting\, as well as adoption requirements.

SUMMARY:2023 Pet Calendar Contest
DESCRIPTION:We are no longer accepting pre-orders for the 2023 Young-Williams Animal Center Pet Calendar. \nPlease keep an eye on social media for when calendars will be available for purchase in the lobby of our Division Street location. \n\nThe Young-Williams Animal Center calendar contest helps provide care for the nearly 10\,000 homeless\, stray\, and unwanted pets we take in every year. The official Young-Williams Animal Center 2023 Wall Calendar is sponsored by Mortgage Investors Group. \n All proceeds support the mission of Young-Williams Animal Center to lead the community to end pet homelessness\, promote animal welfare\, and enhance the human-animal bond. \nFundraisers like our 2023 Pet Calendar Contest are so important to our mission and helps animals in our care right now. Animals like Coda the puppy. Coda was rushed to UT Vet Hospital after being attacked by a wild animal and was stabilized before being transferred to Young-Williams for care. His small front leg was broken in multiple places but the injury didn’t stop him from snuggling up to our vet staff. At such a young age\, we knew amputation was not only the best medical path\, but that he would easily learn how to walk on three legs. Thanks to the Animal Compassion Fund\, he got the emergency vet care he needed and is now in a new home dedicated to keeping him safe and loved. Your entries and votes help provide for Coda and hundreds of pets just like him. \n\nSPONSORED BY
