Meet Hattie! Hattie has been friendly with other dogs in doggy playgroups. On a trip out with a volunteer, Hattie was easygoing, friendly, gentle, and quiet; Hattie did "great" in the car, and the volunteer said "At the shelter, she was slow to venture outside, and I had to take the lead. She moved fairly slowly and showed no interest in treats. Once away from the shelter, her behavior changed within minutes. As we walked, she had an unexpected pep in her step, moving at a solid clip and easy to walk on the leash. With her tail wagging, she explored all the scents in the garden, and I let her take the lead on the walk and just followed her wherever she led us. She noticed people and dogs - close up and far up the path - but did not seem interested in approaching them, and she did not bark at all. After the walk, she showed her affinity for peanut butter treats and munched as many as I would give her. She is very sweet."
