The Animal Center offers animal welfare education programs to schools, businesses, and other agencies. Visitors may also schedule a program and tour of the Animal Center facility. Programs are available to any age group and on any animal-welfare topic. For more information, please contact Courtney Kliman, ckliman@young-williams.org or 865-215-6668.

On site programs are available Monday through Friday and begin no earlier than noon and no later than 5pm.  To avoid scheduling conflicts, we recommend that you have at least three dates available for the requested program. Also, please schedule your date as far in advance as possible. The Animal Center will make every attempt to accommodate a program request.  Although programs are not available during the weekends, visitors are always welcome at both center locations during operating hours.  Adoption staff or volunteers will help you visit with an animal as time permits.

To make the most of an Animal Center visit, groups are encouraged to arrive at the Animal Center on time for their program. To maintain each day’s program and tour schedule, the program director must conclude the program at the scheduled time.

The center is available to speak to businesses and other groups within Knox County.  These programs may take place outside of regular business hours.  The outreach coordinator will try very hard to accommodate these requests.

Please contact Courtney Kliman  at ckliman@young-williams.org or (865) 215-6668 for more details or to schedule an event!
