Stray animals are housed at the main center at 3201 Division Street.  Young-Williams Animal Center is the official animal shelter for the city of Knoxville and Knox County.  By law, the center is the only facility in Knox County permitted to house stray animals.  The State of Tennessee requires strays to be held in the facility for a minimum of three (3) days.  Check the shelter no less than every other day to look for your pet.  Keep checking back for a period of two weeks to a month, and don’t give up!  Pets can easily show up at the shelter long after their owners stop looking.

To look for your lost pet or surrender a pet, visit the Lost and Found Department located at our main facility, 3201 Division Street, Knoxville, TN 37919.  We are open 7 days a week from 12pm-6pm.  (865)215-6599
